I’m just become reflective because I haven’t written a blahg in three months and I’m wondering if it’s worth it.\u00a0 Is there anyone out there reading these blahgs?\u00a0 Would you notice if I stopped writing these blahgs?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0\u00a0 There has been so much going on since my last blahg that I simply haven’t had the desire to sit down and write about it all.\u00a0 Most of it is not great.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I am still without a job despite my plea in my last blahg.\u00a0 I’ll be 52 one week from today and I find myself applying for minimum wage warehouse jobs.\u00a0 Last week I received an email response to a job application that basically said “thanks for applying but we’re going with more suitable candidates.”\u00a0 It’s pretty bad when minimum wage is looking good to me but I’m not looking good to minimum wage employers.\u00a0 Where’s the justice in all of my work experience and the choices I have made in my varied career?\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What else?\u00a0 The ordeal to get a new house built for my parents continues.\u00a0 I’ve had to deal with Insurance companies, banks, lawyers, and contractors.\u00a0 At least the basement has been poured and the contractor is starting to build the frame.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The rest of the summer was just busy with having my son Noah, and youngest daughter Abbie and my wife Jeanette home for the summer vacation.\u00a0 It’s nice to have them around but you know what they say about too much of a good thing.\u00a0 We even managed to have our eldest daughter Emily home for almost a week and her boyfriend Charlie for a few days too.\u00a0 Hey Charlie, if you are reading this, I’m cool with you. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So the summer came and went and now I’m in that reflective mood and looking to get busy with something.\u00a0 Maybe this current blahg is a place holder for a better blahg.\u00a0 Maybe there are better things on the horizon for me that I will enjoy writing about.\u00a0 They can’t come quick enough.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I shouldn’t say that everything is bad news.\u00a0 A glimmer of good things came in the news that Deb Talan of The Weepies has beaten her cancer.\u00a0 She even posted that she’s working on new music.\u00a0 That’s good.\u00a0 That’s better than good…that’s great.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/falseducks.com\/theblahg\/images\/june1113.jpg\")
We lost our beautiful cat, June, this summer.\u00a0 She just disappeared and we think a wolf or coyote got her.\u00a0 Same thing happened to my neighbor’s cat.\u00a0 I know about the whole circle of life thing but it’s an experience I could do without.\u00a0 I think about June every day.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/falseducks.com\/theblahg\/images\/ditch.jpg\")
<\/span><\/strong>I should have started out as a ditch digger when I first got out of school.\u00a0 I’d probably still be employed.\u00a0 There are always ditches that need to be dug.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/falseducks.com\/theblahg\/images\/cedardale2.jpg\")
<\/a>I really don’t have anything to complain about when it comes to our contractor.\u00a0 Geertsma Homes out of Belleville have been excellent and my parents really liked the model home they toured.\u00a0 The picture on the left is of the model home.\u00a0 I have flipped the photo to show the orientation with the garage on the left as this is how my parents want theirs built.\u00a0 Now it’s just colour selections inside and out.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nAnd The Weepies released a new song which appears on the soundtrack for Zach Braff’s new movie “Wish I Was Here.”\u00a0 It’s a great song called “Mend.”\u00a0 That’s where I’ll end this blahg.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
